Bird Fair Baking 2011

Our unique selling point on the REGUA stand at the Bird fair this year- rawbaking goodies. They were very popular and I had ran out of cakes on the second day, so apologies to those who visited our stand on Sunday. Maybe next year they will get to sample some of my baking!

Summer cupcakes

Strawberry cupcakes and ice-cream style cupcakes made for Layla's first birthday party.

Chocolate cola cake

I made this rather scrumptious cake from a James Martin recipe. The cola made it very moist. I will put the recipe up shortly as I think this is a good easy and tasty cake to make. The birthday Erin said `Its the best choclate cake ever. Its really rich but also moist.' Now thats a compliment and a half!

Plum Jam

I am overlaiden with plums from my tree in the garden - and what's more they are ripe about one month early so I had to think quick...what to do with them all. Plum jam was really easy and very tasty. Recipe to follow shortly.

Banana Flapjack with chocolate chips

A new version of my classic flapjack recipe. I added one banana and a layer of dark chocolate chips on the base of the flapjack. Very nice indeed!

A large iced bun from the Lawn Bakery, Budleigh Salterton

We are back in Budleigh Salteron for the week and as always popped into one of the best Devonshire's best bakers, The Lawn Bakery. The large iced bun is highly recommended!

Spring time cupcakes!

Spring is coming. The daffodils are coming out and blossom is showing. With this in mind, I made springtime cupcakes for my mum's birthday. Delicate pink sponge cake with vanilla butter icing topped with a spring flower.

Best dessert EVER at Roast, Borough Market

According to Lee Dingain, this is the BEST (non RAW Baking ) dessert he has ever had. It was a homemade jaffa cake. Its a bit airy fairy for my liking - but Lee loved it.

Having your cake and eating it, Kate style!

RAW Baking also does mail order. Here's some customer feedback on the Hairy Bikers version of Rocky Road, including Mars Bars, Treacle, Marshmallows and shortbread! Note the very environmentally friendly packaging and clearly written address.

My first attempt at making whoopie pies. They turned out slightly larger than I anticipated but they look `whoopie pie shape.' Not sure they replace the lovely cupcake but they seem to be getting ever more popular.
