To celebrate one of my favourite flowers I made Bluebell themed cupcakes. The English bluebell is in full bloom this time of year and our woodland has a carpet of purple running through it, as the photos below shows.
I made the classic vanilla sponge, topped with a rice paper bluebell circle and finished off with vanilla butter icing.
