What to bake on a day when you are stuck indoors as Storm Dennis hits? Lemon Drizzle Cake, of course. A light fluffy lemon sponge, topped with an ever so slight crunchie white icing and lemon peel shavings. Great with a cup of tea!
This is the chocolate marble cake I made for my nephews school fete in the classic Guess the weight of the cake competition. The answer: 13lb and 12oz.
Here is this year's birthday cake for my mum. A rich coffee cake - full of flavour with a moist sponge. I was a bit worried about getting the cake out of the ring cake tin but with a bit of patience, it came out in one piece! Phew.
