Christmas Cake Sunday

This year I am trying a new Christmas cake recipe. I can smell it is cooking in the oven now.  The smell of cinnamon, brandy and  a mixture of dried fruit cooking together is somehow comforting! I shall be feeding the cake with a dash of brandy over the next few weeks before icing it.

Mary Berry's chocolate chip cookies

This is a great recipe form the legendary Mary Berry. I bought some quality plain chocolate and filled the cookie dough with as much chocolate chunks as I could fit. Baked in the oven for 12 minutes. Pure heaven eaten warm as the chocolate is melted in the middle as you bite into the cookie!
