Makes 4 medium sized Naan breads.
100g plain
50g strong bread flour
1/2 tsp sugar
3/3 tsp yeast
1/2 tsp salt
50 ml warm milk
50 ml water
1 -2 tablespoons natural yogurt
1 tablespoon oil
Mix dry ingredients together
Warm up milk and take off the heat just before it boils
Add yogurt. Put in 1 tablespoon first and then see how the dough looks before adding anymore. You dont want the dough to be really wet. It needs to be a bit sticky and have a elastic consistency.
Add oil
Add milk and water.
Knead for about 5 minutes until the mix is elastic and stretchy in texture.
Leave to rise until the dough has doubled in size.
Divide into 4. Roll out into a teardrop shape, so it resembles a traditional Naan bread shape. You might
The best way to cook the bread is to dry fry it in a non stick frying pan. Heat up the frying pan, leaving it to really get quite hot. Place one of the rolled out Naan breads in the pan, leave for 2 mins on each side. Leave to cool. Your bread is ready to eat with your curry!
